Tips for growing new plants
Tip 1:
Hotbed on the window sill
As early as March, you can start growing summer flowers, herbs and vegetables on your windowsill. The easiest method is to sow seeds from a commercially available small packet. The seed packet will give you all the necessary information about the particular germination conditions for the plant. One distinguishes between light germinators which have to be put into direct sunlight and dark germinators whose seeds are covered with soil.

All seeds need a very fine soil in order to sprout and grow. Floragard Aussaaterde (FG sowing soil) is ideal here. This purpose-made soil with its fine structure and well-measured nutritional content is tailored to meet precisely the requirements of young seedlings. It contains valuable clay minerals, which store water and nutrients and feed the plants with additional trace elements. Volcanic rock makes the soil loose and prevents a silting-up.
