Tips for Lawn Care
Tip 1:
A healthy lawn needs humus
The basis for a naturally healthy lawn is a soil rich in humus. The reason is that humus activates the soil organisms and this, in turn, leads to an improved, loose and fertile soil. Only if it is rich in humus, can the soil store air, water, heat and nutrients in sufficient quantities. The grass roots can absorb the nutrients effectively - and vigorous plants, a lush, green and a dense lawn will be the result.

In nature, humus develops through decomposing leaves and other plant parts - especially in lawn soils however the humus content is often low. Therefore, it is vitally important to apply a good, humus-rich lawn soil before you create a new lawn. Also for a rigorous regeneration of a much neglected lawn and for the repair of damaged areas it is indispensable to refresh the ground with lawn soil.
Floragard Rasenerde (FG lawn soil) is a high quality purpose made soil with pure quartz sand an plenty of valuable humus. The very fine structure makes spreading the soil easier and provides ideal conditions for the lawn seeds to sprout. The nutritional content is precisely tailored to the needs of young lawn plants.
